Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his house in Mumbai’s Bandra
Bollywood actor and television star Sushant Singh Rajput reportedly committed suicide on Sunday. As per the preliminary investigation, he was found hanging at his Bandra residence.
His demise came as a shock to many as this is the fourth death of a famous personality from the Hindi film industry to pass away in the past two months, after Irrfan Khan and Rishi Kapoor succumbed to cancer and Wajid Khan from the Sajid-Wajid duo fell prey to the coronavirus pandemic.
According to police, he made the last call from his mobile to a friend, however, the timing hasn’t been disclosed yet.
Condolences poured in from all quarters for the highly-talented actor who won several awards for his roles in movies like M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story, PK and Kedarnath.
Rajput's domestic help had informed the police after spotting the actor hanging from the ceiling. A forensic team is collecting items from his room and the post-mortem would be conducted in Cooper and Bhabha Hospital. Deputy Commissioner of Police is at the spot.

Rajput has committed suicide, Mumbai Police is investigating,” DCP Pranay Ashok, spokesperson Mumbai Police said.
Sushant’s team shared a message for his fans: “It pains us to share that Sushant Singh Rajput is no longer with us.
We request his fans to keep him in their thoughts and celebrate his life, and his work like they have done so far. We request media to help us maintain privacy at this moment of grief.”
Sushant Singh Rajput’s death comes days after his former manager Disha Salian reportedly died by suicide. Rajput had tweeted his shock at the news on social media.
